2025 - A group of cardiologists aimed to build a $6.5 MM ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in a joint venture with the hospital where they are employed. When an initial lender’s low appraisal threatened to derail the project, CMAC pivoted quickly, finding additional banking partners to secure a new appraisal and financing structure that made the deal work. Despite challenges with coordination between the doctors and the hospital, municipal water issues, and several architectural revisions, the project successfully moved forward. Through this process, the physicians secured favorable new construction financing and saved approximately $200,000 in interest expense.
